I am *not* using a custom kernel and only use packages and not ports. It's strange that this is marked 'Not a bug' becau= se it most certainly is. Whenever a software package that worked fine suddenly stops working correctly by no fault of the user, that's called a 'bug'. I have completely removed all VirtualBox packages, rebooted, then reinstall= ed and the problem still persists.
