The following reply was made to PR ports/127914; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Andriy Gapon <avg@icyb.net.ua> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, serg@tmn.ru Cc: Subject: Re: ports/127914: x11/xkeyboard-config v1.3 russian language broken Date: Tue, 07 Oct 2008 16:57:42 +0300 [This PR contains quite an inflammatory language which is not helpful.] The real issue is changes in upstream of xkeyboard-config. I don't think that FreeBSD community has any resources or desire to maintain its own xkeyboard-config different from what XOrg provides. If PR submitter wishes so, he can either maintain his own xkeyboard-config customization or contact XOrg xkeyboard-config maintainers/developers with his complaints and suggestions. They have their bugzilla, mailing list and change log. http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/XKeyboardConfig P.S. To the submitter: the easiest for you is to use ru(common) or ru(legacy). ru(os) that you mentioned does not exist at all, ru(os_legacy) contains some tweaks for Ossetian. -- Andriy Gapon
