Having just made the cardinal sin of sending a "subscribe" message to the
entire -STABLE mailing list, I would respectfully offer the suggestion that
you eliminate the "mailto" links when describing the various mailing lists,
and either not replace them (forcing one to read further to find out how to
subscribe) or replacing them with a short form that handles the
subscription automatically.

I submit that this might cut down the noise in the lists, and eliminate
accidental messages on the lists resulting from subscribe messages.

Just a thought.
