It works fine immediately after booting and then stops. Dmesg shows this: [root@vhost01 ~ (master)]# dmesg | grep pcm pcm0: at nid 4 on hdaa0 pcm1: at nid 5 on hdaa0 pcm2: at nid 20,22,21 and 24,26 on hdaa1 pcm3: at nid 27 and 25 on hdaa1 pcm4: at nid 30 on hdaa1 pcm2: chn_write(): pcm2:virtual:dsp2.vp1: play interrupt timeout, channel dead pcm0: at nid 4 on hdaa0 pcm1: at nid 5 on hdaa0 pcm2: at nid 20,22,21 and 24,26 on hdaa1 pcm3: at nid 27 and 25 on hdaa1 pcm4: at nid 30 on hdaa1 The dead channel corresponds to the audio jack on the back of the system into which my speakers are plugged. It also corresponds to the contents of /dev/sndstat cat /dev/sndstat Installed devices: pcm0: (play) pcm1: (play) pcm2: (play/rec) default pcm3: (play/rec) pcm4: (play) No devices installed from userspace. >From my research this appears to be a recurrent bug but I cannot make any of the suggested remedies work. Any assistance with this is greatly appreciated.
