Restart, enter into single user mode. (Hit a different key then enter at the waiting part, and enter: boot -s ) Mount file systems, something like this: # /sbin/mount / # /sbin/mount /usr etc... then: # vipw change the root password field to nothing: root:: etc. set the root password: # passwd root Then, restart. --bhishan [Charset iso-8859-1 unsupported, filtering to ASCII...] > I know it is a silly mistake but i was making some experiments with passwd and chpass and i lost root_s password. And I don_t have another superuser.
