Doug, I though that was the problem. In my kernel config file I had: pseudo-device ppp 2 pseudo-device tun 2 (because there was a plan to add another modem, didn't happen). On Wed Apr 8 09:54:52 PDT 1998 I recopiled the kernel with: pseudo-device ppp 1 pseudo-device tun 1 and last night, the system kicked me off 2x in 5minutes. Before that, I was fine for 42hrs.
