I noticed lots of abandoned ptys lying around:

host:~{1} $ w

USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE WHAT

jon pa host.domain.net 09Jun00 38days -

I've killed the processes that owned them, but they're still there. Any
way to ditch them? (They're mostly from spontaneously dropped PPP
connections.)
