If you're using Tomcat as a web server in addition to your servlet engine and JSP processor, then you're all set. It'll work more or less out of the box. But if you want Apache to serve your static content, then you'll need to compile a special mod_jserv.so. Instructions on where to fetch the source code for this beast are included in the tomcat instructions. > Will I get directions when I download tomcat? - are these straighforward? Personally, I think the instructions that accompanied tomcat were terrible. They come across written by a software engineer who didn't want to write any documentation, but enjoyed discussing philosophy instead. Blech. > Anything else that I need to know?
