Also, you could do things like "ls -lct" to compare inode change times
even if you use -C or -p unconditionally.  -C always sets the inode
change time almost intentionally as a side effect of setting various
attributes unconditionally, although this defeats one of the original
points of having -C (to not gratuitously change things so that
incremental backups don't keep backing up null changes).
