I recently activated the ircd service to play with. If I launch it from an account, it works fine, but I cann't get it to work by just adding it to the inetd.conf file as: ircd stream tcp wait nobody /usr/local/bin/ircd ircd -i Connections are simply refused. What I'd really like to do is use tcpwrappers - or is there a better way to know who is connecting to my IRC server? I get very nervous when people can connect to my system without my knowing exactly who is doing what. Thanks... -Dave
