OK, I wasn't aware of that.

For me at this time:

- post-installation of drm-next-kmod, the presence of drm-kmod is pretty much a show-stopper

– better to be without drm-kmod, leaving drm-next-kmod in isolation. I'd like to await Pete Wright's response to <https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-current/2018-October/071517.html>; before sharing details.
