Subject: gcc profiling support?

I've tried FreeBSD 3.1 and a 4.2 snapshot..

But, when I use a small "hello world" program, and compile
it with:

   gcc -pg hello.c

and run the resulting a.out, I don't get the expected
gmon.out.

Is there some other magic that is needed? Is -pg not
supported on -stable?

	  - Thanks -
