You're right Brian, netstat -r shows nothing, but netstat -rn
does...

In 2-3 days, I won't have to muck around with DHCP anymore though,
so I'll let the sleeping dog lie. *And* it's actually been working the
past few days, so I'll happily blame my ISP.
