Well, they are generally destroyed, yes, though if someone makes prior
arrangements with Walnut Creek CDROM or I undertake to grab some
number of them and send them off to people, that can be done first.
You probably asked a good deal after the previous release had come out
and they were, in fact, already slated for destruction and declared as
such.  Once that point is reached, there is indeed no going back. :(
