A maybe better discussion group will be freebsd-scsi.

Maybe you need to turn off 6-byte commands with a quirk...

Okay... da is for the DirectAccess drives on USB/SCSI
ad represent the ATA-Drives. So ad0 is the primary-master ATA-IDE drive.
