Hello, I am not really sure which mailing list I should use to ask this question: I have a Soundblaster Pro 3.2, and I want to make it work with FreeBSD 2.2.6. But when a use an audio player (such as mpg123), it says : Sound: DMA timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error? I put in my conf file: controller snb0 device sb0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 7 drq 1 vector sbintr device sbxvi0 at isa? drq 5 device sbmidi0 at isa? port 0x330 When I reboot, sb0 is found. (sbxvi0 and sbmidi0 are not found, but I think I don't need them because my sound card is a Sounblaster Pro, not a Soundblaster 16) I also tried some other configurations, and I checked there was no conflicts, but I still got this message. ( I also created the node MAKEDEV snd0) Do you know how I can solve this problem ? Is there anything else I must do to make my sound card work ? I have seen in the mailing list archives that a lot of people have already asked this question, but unfortunately, I could not get any answer . I have another question: which application can I use to set up the volume ? Thanks a lot in advance, I really need to use the sound card.
