All,

This is a significant revision to the 5.2 release schedule. Thanks to
much hard work by many people, the showstoppers for 5.2 have been fixed,
but we definitely need to do an RC2 to verify that the fixes are correct
and that no new problems arise. The extra time involved in doing this
pushes us into the holiday break, which means that the 5.2-RELEASE dates
are going to spill into 2004. I wish that this didn't have to happen, but
at the same time I think that we owe a big round of applause to everyone
for fixing the show-stoppers and giving 5.2 a chance to be an excellent
release. In particular, thanks to Don Lewis, Jeff Roberson, and Doug
White (I hope I'm not missing anyone here) for stepping up and attacking
the vfs/fsync panic.
