Hi there! My -STABLE running workstation has recently ceased to be able to perform a buildkernel. It always fails in the same file, machine/atomic.h when using my custom kernel configuration and with the stock GENERIC configuration. <URL:http://www.btinternet.com/~dominic_marks/freebsd/> I've put up a bzipped log of the build process, and other data which may be relevent such as my make.conf, supfile, and custom file configuration. I can supply other information on request. I should mention I have tried every method I can think of to remove the obstruction to the build, my normal build command set is: # cd /usr/src # make KERNCONF=GENERIC clean buildworld buildkernel \ installworld installkernel # make KERNCONF=APOLLO buildkernel installkernel I've also tried removing the entire /usr/src and /usr/obj directories and then checking out the source tree and starting the build afresh, however this has not changed the nature of the failure. Thanks very much for any help! Dominic Marks, Student To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
