Hola.  Por favor, me perdona mi Espanol.  Estoy lo aprendiendo.

Su problema me aparezco que su maquina no tiene un nombre o su "name
server" no sabe el nombre cuando lo da su direccion.  Mire a su
name server y verifice que hay una mapa del direccion de su machina al
nombre de su maquina.  Puede escribir:

nslookup IP-addr-de-su-maquina

Si no tiene una respuesta, aqui esta su problema.

Que esta pasando es:

        hp = gethostbyaddr((char *)&satosin(&mp->ctl_addr)->sin_addr,
                sizeof (struct in_addr), AF_INET);
        if (hp == (struct hostent *)0) {
                rp->answer = MACHINE_UNKNOWN;
                return;
        } 

Ud esta recibiendo MACHINE_UNKNOWN para ver su mensaje:
Target machine does not recognize us
