The -newbies list tends to be very quiet, so it's not surprising that you haven't been getting much else (though I could swear people have been talking on this list in the last 2 weeks, but I could be wrong). Feel free to try to start a conversation. Most technical questions should be taken to the freebsd-questions@freebsd.org list, but if you are looking for just helpful hints or advice feel free to ask here.
