Aargh!! Will you people READ my mail?? I'm AGREEING that it shouldn't be default. But there ARE some people out there besides me who agree it would be nice to have vi when you come up in single user mode, so why not offer a simple patchkit/package/port that would DO that, with all the termcaps and whatever else you might need to make it work. I'm not saying 'You should do this', I'm saying 'I may do this, who's got hints or interest?' No one's forcing you to install it. Don't try to make this into something it isn't. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* | FreeBSD; the way computers were meant to be | * "The only reason I'm burning my candle at both ends, is * | that I haven't figured out how to light the middle yet."| * fullermd@futuresouth.com :-} MAtthew Fuller * | http://keystone.westminster.edu/~fullermd | *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-chat" in the body of the message
