I posted the following to -questions a few days ago but have not received any response. I'm hoping someone here will have some suggestions as I've turned up nothing on the web other than early Miatas have buggy chipsets and are picky about graphics cards. I guess I have a Miata (DEC Personal Workstation 500a) although I have no idea if it's considered "early"? Any nudges to Alpha specific docs are welcome. I've run FBSD on the i386 for the past year or so without to much difficulty. However, I'm quickly finding that stuff that "just works" on the i386 doesn't work on the Alpha. Any tips for a new Alpha user?
