Above, are two messages I got from the kernel on two attempts to run
ppp. I'm not familar with the meaning of 'rtinit' & 'ifa'. Can anyone
here define the meaning of this message.
Below, is a brief listing of the messages I get while booting. I
compiled the kernel for ppp, and followed the hypertext handbook
that was supplied with 2.1.0; /etc/ppp/ppp.conf, /etc/sysconfig,
/etc/hosts, /etc/host.conf, /etc/resolv.conf, all those files. I
think I did it right.
I haven't been able to fully connect with ppp. The modem connects,
and the login script is executed, but in the process the kernel sends
the 'rtinit' message to all terminals.
