It seems to me, the gd2 (gd-2.0.1) can safely replace gd (1.8.4). The ports I maintain, which depend on it, are already switched over, but I can not test all the others. I wonder if we can repocopy gd2 over gd and be done with it -- before ports are frozen for 4.5.
