I havn't tried TinyMUSH, but MudOS ( LPMud driver ) compiles very nicely 
under FreeBSD.  There a a few good mudlib/driver packages available as 
well.  Look at ftp.imaginary.com /pub/mud ( I think ) or check out the 
web page http://www.imaginary.com.
