Greetings,

The pkg-message from openoffice reads:

: 4 Setup problems
: ----------------
:
: If the setup complains about a missing file
: "setup.ins", it's time to upgrade your FreeBSD system
: to the lastest version. You will encounter this bug
: only if your OS is older than FreeBSD 4.6 STABLE.
: 4.6 RELEASE is still affected.

I have got 4.6.2-RELEASE-p2 and yet it cannot find
that setup.ins

What FreeBSD version do I need?

Is there way to avoid that odd bug? Can anybody
supply that stupid `setup.ins' ??

( I still doubt the problem is in the OS )

As a result I spent 3 days to compile openoffice,
upgrade OS, compile office again and yet have nothing
to deal with that .doc files ( my old port was removed
while installing the new one ).

Is it possible to maintain some stable port which
works for sure, or at least tell the conditions
more precisely?

I have found the following files

# find work -name 'setup.ins' -exec ls -ld {} \;
-rw-rw-r--  1 root  wheel  365004 Sep 19 17:58 work/oo_1.0.1_src/instsetoo/unxfbsd.pro/49/normal/setup.ins
-rw-rw-r--  1 root  wheel  363940 Sep 19 17:59 work/oo_1.0.1_src/instsetoo/unxfbsd.pro/01/normal/setup.ins
-rw-rw-r--  1 root  wheel  364630 Sep 19 18:00 work/oo_1.0.1_src/instsetoo/unxfbsd.pro/07/normal/setup.ins
-rw-rw-r--  1 root  wheel  364984 Sep 19 18:01 work/oo_1.0.1_src/instsetoo/unxfbsd/49/normal/setup.ins
-rw-rw-r--  1 root  wheel  363920 Sep 19 18:02 work/oo_1.0.1_src/instsetoo/unxfbsd/01/normal/setup.ins
-rw-rw-r--  1 root  wheel  364610 Sep 19 18:04 work/oo_1.0.1_src/instsetoo/unxfbsd/07/normal/setup.ins

, however none of them makes it work ( if I copy it to
/usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.0/program/setup.ins )

Installation dies soon after I click the button "Installation",

$ make install-user
Segmentation fault
*** Error code 139 (ignored)

How do I get something working?
