Reply-to: unixsa@northlink.com Priority: normal X-mailer: Pegasus Mail for Windows (v2.23) Sender: owner-questions@FreeBSD.ORG X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk I have just installed FreeBSD on a second machine, but I notice the following anomoly: On my new machine, user "toor" has the UID of 0 which the same UID as user "root" and everything seems to work OK. On my old machine user toor has the uid of 4 and if I change it to 0 via the command chpass, user "root" soon disapears. What am I doing wrong?
