I installed 4.0 from CD, then cvsuped from 4.0 RELEASE and want to do first build. Each time I run make buildworld, some combination of the Makefile.inc1 env vars is wrong. Leaving them all to defaults and doing mkdir for the missing directory that stopped the build also doesn't work. Is there a FAQ or sample list of settings of the env vars and their interaction during the buildworld make, first time through? Tx!
