The problem: wile trying to install 2.0 on the machine (VLB: 16MB)
kernel reboots the system.
I've removed everything, but just videocard (some cirrus logic with 1MB ram,
ISA) and adaptec 1542C (not CF if it matters): still reboots:
panics when fails to do something with VM (I have not enabled the swap
by the time).
Another question: where to get 1.44 boot disks for the recent snapshots?

I've used the machine to run Linux with no problems for a couple of months
before, so I think the problem is FreeBSD's kernel, not the hardware.
And I do not run any crippled HDDs like Conner's 1060S in this machine
of cource. Nothing else flawed comes to my mind either...
SMC 8013 TPC shan't cause much problems either I suppose...
(removing it doesn't resolves the problem anyway, right?)

And the last thing: what's the commended type of filesystem to run the
root fs on if the installation process gives any choice of that...
UFS is the generic name for the suite of filesystems of the filesystem per se?
Thanx in advance.
AGL
