The following reply was made to PR ports/146545; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Yar Tikhiy <yar@freebsd.org> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/146545: gio-querymodules in devel/glib20 Date: Sat, 11 Sep 2010 12:29:37 +1000 I'd like to confirm that the issue has to do with the missing libpthread.so symlink. It looks like a certain upgrade path between past FreeBSD versions would lose the symlink or fail to create it and just few packages are affected by the problem so it can stay latent for a long time. To check: # ls -l /usr/lib/libpthread.so /usr/lib/libthr.so Normal output: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 9 Jul 15 2009 /usr/lib/libpthread.so -> libthr.so lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 16 Jul 15 2009 /usr/lib/libthr.so -> /lib/libthr.so.3 In an affected system libpthread.so can be missing and an old libpthread.so.2 can be present instead. My $0.02. Yar
