You may either upgrade to a stable snapshot (found on ftp.freebsd.org, called something like 2.2-970618-RELENG) or by updating the source tree and recompilinig everything. The second method can get you a more updated source tree, as well as any past version (or actually, any past moment) on the source tree you desire.
