I have one of these too and can agree that it's a very nice machine.  However,
I've got a few nits.

  + The audio chipset isn't found under FreeBSD 6.1.  If anyone knows how to
    get the Sigmatel STAC9200 to probe, I'd love to hear about it.

  + There are no drivers (yet) for the optional Intel 3945abg wireless.  There
    is a driver in OpenBSD that will hopefully be ported over soon.

  + I'm having some odd problems getting Cardbus wireless cards to work.  They
    act mostly as expected, but dhclient refuses to associate with any AP.  If
    I ifconfig ath0 by hand, it associated just fine.  The problem is similar
    to this:

But, like I said earlier, overall I do like the Latitude D820
