I've added output to the debugging screen (ALT-F2) if the DEBUG option is
turned on.  Hopefully this will help us pin it down.  If perfered, I can
make the debug output appear on the alt-F2 screen even if the DEBUG
option isn't set.

This should appear at at daily current SNAP by tomarrow (Friday).
