 It does so because perl5 ports should install their stuff in there. If
 they aren't, then there's a problem with perl5 module registration in
 the base system. What you're suggesting sound like a step backward made
 possible by a problem that needs to be fixed.
 
 Let me know whether you understand and agree with what I'm saying so
 that I can close your problem report.
