* > Why is top not in /usr/bin? * Because it's in /usr/local/bin? :-) And in case you want to ask "why is it in /usr/local/bin?", it's our policy to install ports stuff in /usr/local/* for non-X stuff and /usr/X11R6/* for X stuff (by default). This is to make it possible for the user can back up /usr/local, /usr/X11R6 and upgrade the OS and still have the old ports stuff, that she spent so much time to compile and set up, intact. :) Satoshi
