The documentation of pax says, the default archive type is ustar (the
POSIX tar format).  The same is true with GNU's tar, too.  But:
pax generates a warning about in POSIX mode, cannot save a socket.
And `file' says: tar archive, but with GNU-tar, says: POSIX tar archive.
????
