I'd very much like to see more results of testing of that. Fortunately, used Compaq pci RAID controllers are plentiful on Ebay (the fools that buy used systems and part them out somehow think that the RAID card is this supervaluable card and so they are pretty cheap too) Ted Mittelstaedt tedm@toybox.placo.com Author of: The FreeBSD Corporate Networker's Guide Book website: http://www.freebsd-corp-net-guide.com >-----Original Message----- >From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG >[mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Linh Pham >Sent: Friday, April 20, 2001 9:22 PM >To: Ted Mittelstaedt >Cc: Patrick Calkins; Freebsd-Hardware (E-mail); Freebsd-Questions >(E-mail) >Subject: RE: Which hardware vender for FreeBSD? > > >On 2001-04-20, Ted Mittelstaedt scribbled: > ># This isn't true for Compaq - they sell preloaded Linux systems. ># Please check the following URL: ># ># >http://www.compaq.com/products/workstations/software-platform/osmatrix.html > >What I meant is that not all of the Windows-based solutions are >available for the servers that come with Linux pre-loaded.
