Your patch states "it is not possible to use the keyboard console [to install FreeBSD]". This is untrue: it is possible, but the display is not drawn properly and keyboard navigation is unintuitive (you have to use emacs navigation keys or the menu hotkeys). It is _recommended_ that you install via a serial console instead, but if you know what you're doing you can struggle through.
