And I always need to ``make -DNOGCCERROR build'' on NetBSD/sparc 
because there's always a warning somewhere that breaks it otherwise !

It's just too easy to introduce a warning that doesn't appear on the 
architecture that you test with.  I think this stuff should be made 
available, but should never become default in stable.
