Well, I *solved* my problem.  I used SUB_FILES and SUB_LIST to change the 
exec line in the script from "exec wish" to "exec tclsh8.4".  I'm fiddling 
around with the iwidgets port now to see if I want to maintain it.  Tcl 
looks a bit too complicated for me right now, but maybe later.
