He's after the latest version of his software, just like any Linux
wanabee-hacker that compiles three kernels a day. Waiting for the ports would
be too much so he compiles everything manually running configure...

Last time he touched a FreeBSD, he did a PREFIX=/usr/pkg in order not to be
too lost... :-)
