Subject:   Error messages running rc.network

On startup, I get error messages:

    writing to routing socket: File exists
    add net default: gateway 206.184.243.169 - file exists
    writing to routing socket: Invalid argument
    add net:  invalid argument

All of this happens while the machine is running rc.network, the
following section thereof:

    if [ "x$defaultrouter" != "xNO" ] ; then
            static_routes="default ${static_routes}"
            route_default="default ${defaultrouter}"
    fi

# NOTE:  after the above:
#
# static_routes is "default loopback"
# route_default is "default 206.184.243.169"
#
# END of NOTE

    # Set up any static routes. This should be done before router discovery.
    if [ "x${static_routes}" != "x" ]; then
            for i in ${static_routes}; do
                    eval route_args=\$route_${i}
                    route add ${route_args}
            done
    fi

I imagine the problem may be in the rc.conf file (I just upgraded
from 2.1.6 to 2.2.0).

Here is the networking section of rc.conf, as I have configured it:
