Hello - I am running FreeBSD 2.2.8 and just installed a new Zoltrix
Spirit 56K modem
which fits into the irregular type looking slots in my machine (pci?).

While it works fine under Windows 95 I can not get it to work in
FreeBSD.

While starting FreeBSD and watching opening boot messages I now show one
new message as;

pci0:9: vendor=0x127a  device=0x1005  class=coms,  subclass 0x00  int a
irq 11 [no driver issigned]

so I went to /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/TRACKER (TRACKER is my machine)
and tried a few changes to the kernel to try and assign a driver, then
re-compiled the kernel, all this not working. While using
my manual I am still at a loss.

Maybe all I need to know is what to enter in my
/usr/src/sys/i386/conf/TRACKER file to assign the driver?

help!
