all you need to do is to set the $DISPLAY variable to the IP address of the machine you are trying to export to. Depending on which shell
you are using 

sh: DISPLAY=<IP ADDRESS>:0; export DISPLAY
csh: setenv DISPLAY <IP ADDRESS>:0
