I think personally that core has acted against the wishes of the majority of committers, but that there is a large group who will go along with what core says, because they believe in the "rules". Nothing I've seen from Matt would be what I consider particularly bad. No death threats or such.. Being called a moron is par for the course in this field and anyone who can't take that, or being accused of whining should go do something else.
