I intentionally tried to code it in a form that seemed to me as most 
consistent with the coding style that is already in place. I thought if 
I go down the clean CSS route, that may interfere more with the 
currently ongoing efforts to CSSify things than it would help. But I 
certainly agree that that should be the direction of evolution.
