The quick answer is yes--but apparently not necessary since, as was
posted by Sean, qemu has its own VNC server.

To run it with its own IP address, simply use tap networking.  For
information on that, you can see my post on bsdnexus forums for CURRENT,
or the link I post there to STABLE.
