It should have come up in the mailing list search, but it *really*
shold be in the UPDATING file since it is an incompatible change.

What you need to do is this:

echo 'hw.ata.atapi_dma="1"' >> /boot/loader.conf

and reboot.

Compare the /var/run/dmesg.boot output of before and after to see that
your ATAPI devices are using DMA rather than PIO.
