All 64-bit adapters do autosensing for 32/64-bit slots. Then what is your
next question ?

The important point is that --

For standard 1500 MTU, if you want to have GigE adapters able to reach
their maximum throughput, you must to use a 64-bit PCI slot.
It does not mean that a 64-bit PCI slot is required for a adapter.
It is required for the maximum throughput :-)
