>Description:
The port openldap-1.2.11_1 defaults its data directory to /var/run/openldap-ldbm. When you reboot this directory gets blown away and you lose all of your data.
>How-To-Repeat:
install the package and use the slapd.conf.default as the config file. Put some ldap data in the server then reboot the machine.
>Fix:
The problem is in the file /usr/local/etc/openldap/slapd.conf.default which I then edited and called /usr/local/etc/openldap/slapd.conf. There is one line in the default file that could be patch before installation to correct this problem. I would submit a patch, but I'm not sure that I know the best place for this data directory to live :) The port maintainer, lodea@vet.com.au, would be the best person to decide this.
