When you reboot this directory gets blown away and you lose all of your data. >How-To-Repeat: install the package and use the slapd.conf.default as the config file. Put some ldap data in the server then reboot the machine. >Fix: The problem is in the file /usr/local/etc/openldap/slapd.conf.default which I then edited and called /usr/local/etc/openldap/slapd.conf. There is one line in the default file that could be patch before installation to correct this problem.
